• In Australia, Household MGBs are emptied using single operator side-loading 'grab' type collection systems hence you need the strongest bin available

• MGBs presented at the nature strip for collection can have their short lid 'hinge pins' popped off by the grab collection system. This was due to MGBs being invariably being placed 'diagonally' by the householder, and the different pressures associated with this system

• OSGS DIN BINs carry the 'double-handle-system' with 'long-lock' hinge pin which cannot 'pop' out, and is superior in side loading grab collection vehicles.

• The MGB 120 litre DIN BIN was originally designed using a MGB 240 DIN BIN. This meant that a bin 50% smaller was going to be 100% tougher due to the strength of the larger version. Similar to if you were to hold 5 gallons of water in a 44 gallon drum!

• DIN BIN wall width dimensions are not present in any other MGB standard. DIN BINs ensure longer field life which is why OSGS sticks with DIN standard MGBs.
